From the perspective of the industrial chain, the upstream main raw materials for bamboo pulp are bamboo such as moso, nanzhu, and cizhu; The downstream of bamboo pulp involves various paper-making enterprises, and the paper produced is generally firm and has a “sound”. Bleached paper is used to manufacture offset printing paper, typing paper, and other high-end cultural paper, while unbleached paper can be used to manufacture packaging paper, etc. China is one of the countries with the richest bamboo plant resources in the world, with bamboo forest area accounting for more than 1/4 of the total global bamboo forest area and bamboo production accounting for 1/3 of the total global production. In 2021, China’s bamboo production was 3.256 billion, an increase of 0.4% over the previous year.
